       Welcome to Lightnin' Strikes.Com. We hope you enjoy the website. Lightnin' Strikes would like to thank Walt Lonnborg and Harry T. Stewart for their time and efforts to help the band "get global," so to speak. Enjoy!

     Lightnin' Strikes came together in September 2002, literally in the midst of an electrical storm. Surrounded by the tall pines of Hickory Hills, the fellows were beginning one of their first rehearsals( in spite of the weather), when a bolt from above almost put all four 6 feet under. Needless to say, the band quickly agreed on what often is one of the most intensely trivial, but highly flammable portions of the whole band experience: naming the band. Lightnin' Strikes fit the moment and the music.

Lightnin' Strikes now consists of:

  • John Gainey (vocals/guitar)
  • Rex Cunningham (bass/backing vocals)
  • Robert Vice(drums/vocals)
  • Mike Cunningham (guitar)

The group has three goals:

  • Play very good music(see set list)
  • Play it very well (hear for yourself)
  • Have as much fun as humanly possible with as many people as possible in the process of achieving 1 & 2. (see for yourself)
